Launch: Phasmodeck

Recently, I've been playing a lot of Phasmophobia. It's great fun, but there are some painful bits, mostly related to the journal.

Each ghost type has some unique attributes, behaviors, or tendencies. I sometimes watch people play Phasmo on YouTube, and those who have played thousands of games mostly seem to have the ghost information memorized. I don't. I often think there was some ghost like this, but I can't remember which one, and it sucks. Worse, there is no easy way to look it up in the journal; I basically have to go through each entry until I find the right one.

Similarly, if I want to see at a glance the evidence that applies to several ghosts, there is no easy way.

Another frustration when looking up specific ghosts in the journal is that the ghosts do not appear to be listed in any particular order. Listing them alphabetically would be great.

There are other minor gripes, like no availability of maps in the journal. But I feel like this may be a deliberate decision by the developer. I can live with that.

Originally, I thought about modding the game to make a better journal but it sounds like the developer is not receptive to modding, and I don't want to get banned. Instead, I decided to make a web journal that I can always have active on a second screen.

Others have already done this, but they seem to fall short of what I want. Either they reproduce the in-game journal, or they are hideous. I can do better. I think. Maybe. So I started project Phasmodex (a la Pokedex), but someone already took the domain, so I changed the name to Phasmodeck (like cyberdeck).

It's still a work in progress, and a lot doesn't work at all yet, but I want to get it out fast while I am still motivated. So here we go:

Phasmodeck.com is launching today (actually, last night, but shut up)! Try it out!
